Anyway, I got my sunrise. Last week I decided I had time to get up early and go get it. If I felt like it when my alarm went off then I would go, as it happened I was awake at 3:24am for no discernible reason and so I browsed online and then dressed and got Minty ready and we went down the seafront to catch the sunrise as it looked promising.
I was lucky, the sky was clear to the west although it was cloudy on the horizon so I had to wait longer. Worth it though. Once I had captured it and had 20 minutes chill out watching it, we walked around the harbour and caught another few shots I liked.
I especially loved this one. It looked to me as if a volcano was erupting, not a sunrise.
I used Rhonna Farrer's design app to add a border and text to say what I thought.
I have scrapped it for Sue's Sketch Challenge using Simple Stories and Heidi Swapp papers and enamel dots.

Fantastic! I love that you went out to capture this - it's exactly what the scavenger hunt is all about! I keep waiting for a clear night portending a clear morning to go get the sunrise.

lol..my birds on a wire is going to be a bit of a fudge I think. But I have no sunrise at all yet - nicely done!

ReplyDeleteFantastic! A perfect shot.. I admire your perseverance! I got a very hazy one of the birds on the wore..through the car window, on a grey day, taken with my iPhone..not as I would have wanted it..but I got it!
ReplyDeleteThere have been the most amazing sunrises and sunsets haven't there! I am quietly trying to get some of the hunt pictures and (darned hormones helping) I had already got a sunrise as I was (unusually) wide awake one morning at 5.30am. Great that you managed to make a walk of it, bet it set you up for the day! Xxx

ReplyDeleteLovely photos of the sunrise Jen. I used to get up at 5am for work so saw plenty of sun rises but now I'm not working I have to get up specially to see it. As you found though, it is worth the effort. Your photos are beautiful. Like the way you used it in a layout too.
