Make a wish.

Hello little bloggy :-)

It's a gorgeous Spring here in north devon. I hope it is the same where you are?

On Easter Monday Ali and I went out to walk Minty in the early evening and it was so gorgeous we ended up on the cliffs and decided to go up to the top. You don't make that decision lightly, it is steep.

We paused at the top at the lookout marker.
We also sat on the benches at the viewpoints on the way up, cuddling, watching the birds swoop and listen to them call, we designed our ultimate computer game that we would like to design (if we were 100% more proficient in any area that making a computer game requires ;-)). We just mainly enjoyed the incredible peace and quiet.

Minty was ok with a sit down too.

A dandelion to make a wish on is irresistible to him and to me.

I don't know how I managed to catch the 'wish' but I am thrilled that I did.

I bought Allison Kreft's Sprinkled With Love collection, I adored her christmas collection and I think I love this one more, ombre hearts, gorgeous, I literally sighed and felt my heart catch when it arrived. Does that happen to you?

Here is the accompanying pocket page. The 3x4 cards are a cut apart from the collection too. The honeycomb gold on vellum in Studio Calico. Wooden 'enamel' dots are from MME.

I used my sizzix eclips to cut the swirls and then used the cut out as a layer and also as a mask. I coloured using chalks and mists and shine. Thanks for taking a look.

Up, Up, Up-Weekly Challenge

Climbing up to the top of Hillsborough was a lovely hour with Ali.

Up.
We weren’t going to go so high but Ali suggested we went up to the top and this was so surprising and so spontaneous of him that I readily agreed.
He really likes to stay home.
This was about a third of the way up. You can just see the harbour behind him. We used to live at this end of town when I was a teenager, I remember playing Foxes & Hounds all over this hill. I also remember a wet afternoon at primary school when we all dressed up in costume to go up there to look at the remains of the bronze age fort, which was the first evidence of settlement in Ilfracombe. I do not have fond memories of that day Open-mouthed smile

Up.

To The Top. (Yes, the song is Catch My Fall, to reflect the terror I felt the whole time he was up there Laughing out loud)

I also would like to draw your attention to Ali's pokey stick in the video. I posted about his love of pokey sticks here
I have just bought the divine Up & Away papers from Basic Grey as a 12x12 pack and I challenged myself to only use the pack to make the layout, I have never done this before, I much prefer to gather kit from all over my stash. I didn’t enjoy the process nearly as much so I probably won’t do it again, it also isn’t my favourite layoutbut I do love the papers.

The challenge from the Inky Minxes was great, I loved the sketch this week.

Project Life–Catch-up

I have decided to leave Project Life for April. I will add photos and thoughts into protectors, but won’t be scrapping them. That feels right to record the last month.
These were the pages up until then, I was a few days behind when my brother fell ill and so they aren’t completely finished. There are also a couple of weeks where I didn’t record much in February as one of my friends died as well. It hasn’t been the best year so far has it?
I am looking forward to working on it again from this week. The most notable thing to happen is that my youngest son has been coming home from school with listslists of things to do when he comes home from school.
I am an inveterate list-maker and shockingly, old-school pen and paper lists are the only thing that give satisfaction. It has to be good quality A4 lined paper, ring-bound and firmly attached to my wooden clipboard. It must also be a Bic Crystal Biro – in blue. No more, no less will do Smile
My heart literally skipped a beat at the sight of the first list.
Here, i’ll show you.

I’ll interpret.
Shower.
1/2 a sky house to build.
Walk dogs (he laughed when he realised he had written cats and dogs).
Underground house (computer game thing).
Changing room (he doesn’t know!).
Unknown though he thinks it’s his tea.
Bed.
Be still my beating heart, be still.
I shall love it and treasure it forever.
The wierder thing? He finished his list, that has never happened to me Smile
