Finished…..Finally

This mini-book, with all it’s embellishments, has sat in a plastic ziploc bag since September when I first put it together. It nearly saw the light of day when I took it on retreat, I was determined to finish it there. I didn’t but I did print out some mini photos to go in it.

I decided last week that as it is irritating me so much sat in it’s little zippy prison I would finish it Angry smile

I think I set out for it to be the best and only boast book of my children and that therefore I would never be making. another. one.

Once I saw the silliness in that; I can make another anytime and that might be better, I got a wriggle on with it. After all, it isn’t ‘being’ anything sat in it’s plastic zippy.

IMG_7951I used Kaisercraft Gypsy Sisters Collection and my favourite combo of colour cardstock, teal/turquoise and brown.

IMG_7952I used Aqua Lagoon Cosmic Shimmer Mist to alter some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. Also Tim Holtz Hardware Findings and Tattered Florals Dies using bronze metal from LB Crafts and Grungeboard.

IMG_7954I kept the inside simple, just distressing the edges of the photos and some tags that had Fired Brick and Tumbled Glass distress ink with more mist over the top.

I am glad it’s done.

I have a canvas to share that has been going on the same length of time. I’ll post that later.

Thanks to all of you that took the time to post in response to my question over at the BBFS forum. I really appreciated it and it will help me when planning posts.

  1. What a lovely book. I'm sure you'll make a whole series of them.

  2. I just adore the cover of this book, and yes, make as many as you want. Well done for getting it done anyway.

  3. Gorgeous textural mini-book - well done for completing it (I have several still to finish up ... the oldest being nearly 5 years on the shelf!)
