These things have caught my eye over the past few days. I love the down the rabbit hole effect of the internet.
1. I joined in with Ali Edwards' Week In The Life last Autumn and now I am going to try Day In The Life. I really like the idea of capturing the everyday in detail, I used to do it a lot for project life and I haven't done so well at that for a while so I am hoping this will give me a kickstart. You can find out more about it here.
2. I am reading and wallowing in this book.
Please let me recommend it to you.
3. I have been using a new paper planner, this new craze had my name engraved on it. As part of it I have tried the bullet journal. Love it, it's what I was doing only organised :-) My previous notebook had all my notes just randomly added, now I can find them!
4. This quilt and her photos are so inspiring.
5. This made me giggle, I adored the Wolf Hall adaptation and admired Debbie Wiseman's modern but tudor score, and it just goes to show how important it is to set the right mood!
I live your planner & my your desk looks fab (slightly inspired to tidy my table) The bullet system seems a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI might join in with day in the life, it's my day off so food bank, etc that day. Otherwise juvenile day would have been photos of work! Which would have been fine as well I guess.
Thank you Linds, it does not always look like that! Yes, mine will be a work day, but that is how I spend most of them so as you say it will be fine and representative. We can egg each other on! Thanks for commenting :-)
DeleteDon't get me started on paper planners - I am addicted - I just love looking at them, reading about them, finding new stickers - oh it goes on. I think I need treatment Lol!
ReplyDeleteI am going to read the book you recommend when we go on holiday later this month. I tried to get it last month but it wasn't available (I wanted a real book rather than one on my Hudl) but now it's winging its way to me.
Fab post as always, Jen :)
They are lovely aren't they. I am getting another one to use as a food planner lol.
DeleteI do hope you like the book! I am sure you will love it, and it will be perfect for a holiday.
Thank you for the lovely comments. x
Food planner? I hadn't thought of that one. Oh dear ...
Delete..that book title would make a great starting point or title for a layout too wouldn't it?
ReplyDeleteI am frightened of getting into the planner craze! I have enough addictions as it is! lol. Yours looks great though.. and wow... what a tidy desk! You're never coming to mine! lol. Love teh video clip too.
ReplyDeleteNot always tidy!
DeleteYes, don't go there with the planner, unless you really want to go there and stay there a good long while!
Hoping you'll post some more on how you are using your bullet journal, Jen - I've read the stuff, and started one but am always intrigued and eager to learn from others. I love having a paper one too!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea Alexa, I was going to post more about the planner but maybe it is too big an obsession for just the one post!
DeleteThat book is on my list too - as well as the idea to try some bullet journal planning.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy it, thanks for stopping and commenting :-)
DeleteI'm still resisting the planner thing......but for how long?
ReplyDeleteI hope you will join in and become as crazy as I am over it 😊
DeleteThanks for commenting.
That is my favourite book so far this year, by a mile. I'd love to hear of others you have enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteHi Eleanor, thanks for letting me know that, I appreciate it. That is a good idea for a blog post, i'll make a note and share. Thanks for leaving me a comment.
